Pause and Look. Really look.

You might be wondering how my 63-Day Challenge is going.

Here’s the scoop:

Last week… I hit pause.

I could say it was because I turned 50 (🎉), or because we had family in town and a whirlwind of travel, events, responsibilities—but that’s not the whole story. The truth is, things started to slide after I got hurt. After I got confused. Something happened 2 weeks ago that shook me—not in a dramatic way, but in a subtle, soul-disorienting way.

And when I traced it back, I saw something familiar.

When I get emotionally thrown off course, I stop looking. Not just at my goals, or my planner… But at myself.

I stop seeing clearly.

And eventually, I stop wanting to see.

Because clarity demands action. And avoidance feels easier—for a little while.

So yes, the pause may have been wise. I needed space to regroup. But I also want to tell the truth:

It wasn’t just busyness. It was an emotional freefall. And this isn’t the first time. But the good news?

I caught it early. I identified the real culprit:

👉 Emotional sabotage disguised as needing a break.

Really, the truth isn’t hard to find—It’s just hard to face. We don’t always drift because we’re lazy. Sometimes we drift because looking hurts.

Because what we don’t want to see starts to whisper things we’re not ready to hear.

So we stop tracking. We stop weighing. We stop reflecting. We stop praying.

We stop… looking.

Because if we really looked, we’d have to make a decision.

And sometimes, we’d rather stay foggy than face the clarity that demands action.

But here’s the quiet revolution:

Looking is not a punishment. Looking is an invitation. It’s a sacred act of return.

To the version of you who doesn’t avoid because she knows she can rise.

And…now, I look again. I reset my challenge.

Not because I failed—but because I’m awake again. Because I refuse to keep avoiding. Looking didn’t defeat me. Avoiding did. But I’m not avoiding anymore. I looked. I wept a little. I forgave. And now… I walk forward. Not behind. Not broken. Just… honest. And free. Because this body is not my enemy. Because these goals are not cages—they are a calling. Because alignment is what I was made for. Because my mind and heart can heal.

I’ve taken the last 10 days to reflect, recalibrate, and recommit.

And guess what? Since beginning my 63 day challenge:

✨ I completed 6 weeks of the Power Zone challenge

✨ I did 3 strength workouts every week—even though I hate strength work. I am SUPER proud of this!

✨I began sharing from deep in my soul, creating a space that I am actually really proud of.

✨I lost 10 pounds.

✨I showed up for myself in a way that felt really really good!

✨ I didn’t spiral—I paused

✨ And now I’m back—clearer, steadier, and more honest than before

Now, I begin again. I hope not alone!Together, we can start with more wisdom. With stronger boundaries. And with a renewed sense of why this challenge matters. Join me?

(Also, I’ve joined a new 8-week challenge led by my fitness coach, Casey—just protein + steps. Simple. Focused. And perfectly aligned with the core of my 63-Day framework. It’s all syncing up beautifully. It’s not too late to join that! PM me for details!)

A few final thoughts I want to leave you with:

Avoiding clarity is the fastest way to lose alignment.

You don’t need to be fixed. You do need to be seen. Especially by yourself.

Be careful who you let shape your sense of progress. Some people—even good people—project their own limitations as “truth.” That’s not your truth.

Keep rising. Keep returning. Keep choosing your center again and again.

And, to get back in the swing of things, here is a short mini TruthPulse…

🕊️ Today’s TruthPulse: Pause, and look so you can really see..

The pause is not the problem.

It’s what we believe about ourselves while we’re paused that either builds strength or slowly steals it.

When confusion comes, the old self wants to hide.

To binge. To buffer. To avoid.

But the true self—she watches, waits, and whispers:

“Look again. Not with shame—but with honesty.”

Because when you see clearly, you choose differently.

And clarity isn’t a reward for perfection—

It’s a gift that returns the moment you stop running from your own reflection….Welcome back.❤️🙏❤️

🦋Feel it:

That soft ache in your chest—when you know you haven’t looked.

The tension in your shoulders that didn’t belong to your muscles.

🦋Body:

That sigh when you press “resume” on your promise.

One small step, one planned protein‑boost, one walk—that’s where rebuilding begins.

🦋Mind:

Label the moment: “I stopped looking because I felt hurt.”

No shame. Just naming dissolves the hold.

🦋Spirit:

Your soul didn’t need perfection.

It needed you.

You showing up again, eyes open, heart ready.

🦋Action:

Make one promise. Then keep it.

One phone-free evening. One mindful meal. One walk into fresh air.

Then feel the peace of returning.

📖 Scripture:

“Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord.”

— Lamentations 3:40 (NIV)

🕊️ Quote:

“Clarity doesn’t come from knowing everything. It comes from being willing to look.”

“I hear the whisper underneath your breath

I hear you whisper, you have nothing left…

I will rescue you.”

You don’t have to climb your way back to alignment.

Sometimes you just have to stop running.

Stillness is not failure.

It’s the place rescue finds you.
